In 1977, my father, mother and I took a long driving trip true Ukraine, Russia, all the way up to the polar circle in the north of Finland. A special wish of my mama was to visit the famous birch forests in Russia, described on many occasions in her favourite literature. So this is her most liked photo.

This image was taken by my favourite Asahi Pentax ME camera.  As you can probably figure out, these are not digital images; they were taken on the Kodachrome 64 film for colour slides and scanned many years later.
